Brian Bishop is a 12.5 year veteran of the US Army where he served in the Military Police Corps as a commander, law enforcement operations leader, and team member on multiple comprehensive fitness task forces. While serving as a leader at varying levels, Brian implemented mental resiliency and suicide prevention techniques in a high-risk occupation, seeking to optimize performance in stress inducing chaotic environments including combat. As a graduate of the United States Military Academy and University of Denver with a Masters in Sport and Performance Psychology, Brian has incorporated his experience and education into his current work within the athletes with disabilities and primarily first responder communities, completing hundreds of hours of mental skills training sessions and workshops. This work has enhanced performance through promoting mental readiness, increasing resiliency, and facilitating performance flexibility in stressful situations. As the concept of psychological resilience continues to grow and evolve within the high-risk community and beyond, Brian’s mission is to be on the frontlines of its incorporation into more agencies, teams, and organizations across the nation.
